Is Drury a good place to live?
Drury sits at the southern end of the Papakura Local Board area, which Auckland Council describes as running from Drury in the south to Alfriston in the north, with State Highway 1 and the North Island Main Trunk Railway through it. Drury School is on Young Crescent and publishes its own zone description, which no longer includes students living on the western side of the motorway, including the new Auranga development. Which schools serve Drury?
We have not named a state secondary school. We could not confirm from a primary source which one is zoned for Drury addresses, so look up your exact address in the Education Counts school finder.
Check the school's enrolment zone before you buy. The Education Counts school finder shows zones by address, and the Ministry of Education explains how enrolment schemes work.
How do you get around from Drury?

- Where is Drury?
- Drury is at the southern end of the Papakura Local Board area. Auckland Council describes that area as running from Drury in the south to Alfriston in the north, with State Highway 1 and the North Island Main Trunk Railway running through it.
- How long does it take to sell in Drury?
- Plan on two weeks of pre-list prep (photography, copy, marketing, signage), then a three to four week campaign on market. We will say at the appraisal whether your home suits auction or private treaty.
- Do I need to renovate before selling in Drury?
- Usually not. Decluttering, a deep clean, a tidy section and a coat of paint tend to do more than a big renovation. At the appraisal we will say what is worth doing and what to leave alone before you spend anything.
- Does the school zone matter when selling in Drury?
- Families ask about it. Drury School publishes its own zone description and says it no longer includes students living on the western side of the motorway, so buyers should check an exact address with the school before relying on it.
Pre-list checklist
Before we go to market in Drury
- 01
Declutter every room
Buyers need to picture themselves in the home, not look at your things.
- 02
Tidy the section and the outlook
The first photo, the signboard and the first minute of an open home all start at the street.
- 03
Book photography two weeks before listing
Never compress the prep window. Rushed photos cost more than any staging.
- 04
Have the LIM and title in hand early
Buyers' lawyers ask for them. Having them ready reads as organised.
- 05
Check your zone and overlays on GeoMaps
Auckland Council's Unitary Plan GeoMaps shows what applies at your address, so nothing surprises a buyer.
